FIRE EXTINGUISHER
Suitable for Class A, B and C fires
Class A: Ordinary combustibles (i.e. cloth, wood and paper)
Class B: Flammable liquids
Class C: Appliances, electrical

How to Use:
- Release the safety pin
- Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire
- Squeeze the lever
- Sweep from side to side
Care Tips:
- Check the pressure gauge on a monthly basis, the needle should lie in the green zone (Note: Do not throw away your fire extinguisher if the needle reaches the red zone before the expiry date! Servicing will make it as good as new)
- Visible signs of damage (e.g. corrosion, leakage or a clogged nozzle) is a clear indication for replacement soonest possible
- Document your inspections! Place a sticker on the fire extinguisher to keep track of your monthly checks

SMOKE ALARMS (HFAD)
Smoke alarm saves lives. It detects early stages of a fire and alerts your family to react, using the fire extinguisher or the fire blanket to put out small fires before they get out of control.

How to Use:
- Always place smoke detectors 30cm away from any wall/corners
- Ideally placed near entrances to allow for easier escape
- This battery powered alarm contains sealed in, tamper proof lithium battery that will last for the full 10 year life of the alarm. The alarm is not powered until it is twisted on the mounting base, thus avoiding battery power consumption during storage and prior to installation.
Tips:
- Test the alarm once in a month to ensure continued functionality
- Use a narrow nozzle vacuum cleaner to rid the smoke alarm of dust and cobwebs
- Cover the smoke alarm during renovation to avoid dust clogs

FIRE BLANKET
- Good for small Class F fires (usually caused by cooking oil which should not be doused with water)
- Made of woven fibreglass fabric (fire resistant material)
- Meets EN 1869:1997 standard
- Single use only
How to Use:
- Familiarise with quickly releasing the blanket from its case; it can be stored back into case.
- The handles should be held upwards with the blanket covering the bottom of your hand nearest to the fire
Care Tips:
- Do not store the blanket near the stove
- Instead, store the blanket near the kitchen entrance, which allows for easier escape if the situation escalates
